This is authentic Latin American food. Everything is fresh and not microwaved. It is a must go to in Eastern Jackson County!

When it comes to authentic Latin American food, this is as good as it gets! Not a Mexican Restaurant, but the classic favorites from several different Latin American countries. For example their Honduran Tamale is superb. The Pupusas from El Salvador are spectacular. Plus great selections from just about every other country in Central and South America. Yeah, their location isn't out on a hot spot corner, but they are well worth the visit. And you simply won't find friendlier service. They truly are grateful for your business. And nope, I'm not at all associated with them. I'm just happy to have found them in my neighborhood.

We ate at Sabor Latino today and can't say enough great things. We are not easily wowed by most restaurants but this one makes our short list. We had a nonalcoholic drink called Guanabana that was delicious and not too sweet. We then had the appetizer Patacones and a couple of a la cart items. They were the ground beef pasteles venezuela and the chorizo and cheese arepas. They brought us the sauce that comes with them and also a couple of others for us to try. Loved it all. Can't wait to go back and try their lorocco and cheese pupusas. The staff/owners were wonderful. Support local small businesses!!

Delicious! Quiet! Reasonably priced! More varied than just Mexican. Truly a treat. I've never written a Yelp review before and apparently Yelp thinks longer is better. They are wrong. This is a great place to eat with great service. in addition it is one of a kind, not a chain. This is the best place I've eaten in Lee's Summit in years.

Ate here last week, the soft tacos were some of the best I've ever had! They could use more space though, it was a little tight

Delicious!! We went on their first day and was blown away by the quality and freshness of food. The owners were super nice and you could tell they were excited about this new venture. My boys loved their food as well.

I found this gem on accident while doing business in Lee's Summit. I am rarely in that area and try to find restaurants whenever I visit. I am SO happy that I found Sabor Latino Meals and new favorite authenic Latin place. After reading all of the wonderful reviews, I had high expectations. Reflecting on my experience, I can definitely say all of those expectations were surpassed! Ok now to the actual review...we had the wonderful Tostones as an appetizers and the Mar y Tierra and another dish which included plantains, chicken and black beans. It was all fantastic! We finished with Tres Leches for dessert and it was honestly the best I've ever had. We had the opportunity to speak with the owner, who was great, which made us like the place even more. He was so passionate about his restaurant, the food and quality he provides and making sure that all customers have a great experience. I truly love having experiences like this, especially with smaller business owners. The service was great and so was the atmosphere. The location and decor are clean, simple and quaint which is absolutely perfect when you've got such a phenomenal menu. I'm definitely going to be going back to Lee's Summit just to have another great meal-business or not.

Wonderful little place! I had the pabellon, Mrs. had fish tacos. Got yuca for a starter. Excellent texture! Our plan is to go clockwise and try each of them. The plantain with my meal was wonderful too. I know they just moved in, but I knocked off a star for decor, or lack thereof. As well, starter was served with the meal. Awkward pacing. Al, the owner, is a warm and gregarious host. Be prepared to nicely be forced to be honest about your experience! Long and short of it, we will return!

It's good to experience a new place with food you're not familiar with. What's better is to really like it. The Latin American choices on the menu weren't familiar to us, but the waiter helped explain the items. The Patacones appetizer was excellent (fried Plantains topped with various toppings and a great creamy, spicy sauce). We also had Pupusas and Pabellon (shredded beef with rice and beans). They've only been open a month and the walls and decor are rather drab, but the food and service was great.

Since we moved to Missouri, we have been craving some Home (Puerto Rico) food. We couldn't find it but we did find something really similar. Sabor Latino meals gave us a little taste of home. Their food is absolutely DELICIOUS!!! We had Tostones for appetizers, and Mar y Tierra & Platano Relleno for lunch. We were blown away by how tasty and good everything was. We also drank some natural juice, which also were amazingly delicious!! Oh! And I must not forget about the Margaritas!!! So GOOD!! The owner, cook and waitress all were very welcoming. The owner took time to chat with us and explain every item in the menu. Food is fresh and prices are excellent. The restaurant just opened, so its a simple and humble place with a lot of potential. Looking forward to going back!!!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
